Bio

My name is Meredith, or Meerkat, depending on who you ask. Come fall, I will be a junior at Gonzaga University in the lovely city of Spokane, Washington (journalism and sociology double-major.) I play a little rugby; I'm a lock and love it. I am also currently cohabitating with the most perfect and amazing 25-year-old in all of Spokane and a cat that I kind of hate and kind of love (shout out to Melissa and Dottie Meowerstein!) I enjoy Mike's Hard Cranberry Lemonade with a splash or five of lime vodka, garage sales, reading cheesy teen novels, celebrating my birthday more than one day, random blogging, and doing little things to brighten a person's day. I think that homophobia, putting yourself in a fake relationship on Facebook, not supporting the local economy, psycho ex-girlfriends, and not registering to vote are all ridiculous. I have secured summer employment through Leadership Spokane, an organization in downtown. I'd like to graduate and begin my career in either journalism or some kind of writing gig with a nonprofit or publishing agency. Oh! And I'm thinking about writing my own book sometime. That's about it.
